My name is SARAH
I was born and raised in Western, MA and that is currently where you'll still find me. I am married to my soulmate, Dan. We have two beautiful daughters, Rosalind & Lenora. We also have 3 kitties named Monkey, Baby Girl, & Ozzy. While being a Mom has taken up most of my time when I'm not at work, I also love getting the opportunity to travel. I have been lucky enough to venture to some of the coolest places all over the world, my favorite thus far being Iceland. Although I must admit, I truly am a homebody and I love just sitting on the couch with my cats all day catching up on my favorite TV shows or reading a book.
My journey into the realm of hair started when I attended cosmetology school in early 2012. Shortly after, I got my first job working as a receptionist in a salon in downtown Northampton, Massachusetts, which quickly transpired into working full time as an assistant for a little over two years. I believe my time assisting really shaped me into the stylist I am today. I have received top-notch education from several well-known color and product lines as well as many independent educators. l I have now been working behind the chair as a stylist for 9+ years and I couldn’t imagine myself doing anything else! I do both hair cutting and coloring. People always ask me which one I like more or which I do more of and honestly, it’s pretty equal and I love doing both for different reasons. I identify as a lived-in, dimensional color specialist. Low maintenance color is my jam because I’m all about a seamless grow out whether it be on a blonde, brunette, or redhead. My cutting style is varried. Having a Sassoon background, I love crafting a gorgeous precision bob, but I also love cuts with shaggy layers and texture.
I have worked my way through the ranks of this career and I think that is one of the things that separates me from others. I really know the ins and outs of this business. I pride myself on giving clients the best possible experience (and hair!) and I feel I can provide that because of my background and the fact that I am always trying to learn more and to better my skill set. I want everyone who sits in my chair to feel comfortable, to get consistent results and service, but know that I’m always down to switch things up!
I finally booked an appointment with Sarah after eyeing her work on Instagram for over a year. I was NOT disappointed and she exceeded all of my expectations.
Sarah spent a considerable amount of time getting to know me, my cut/color history, and what my hopes were. I have never had another stylist take that much time asking questions and explaining the process. I hadn’t had my color done in quite some time (and I was desperately in need of a cut). Sarah absolutely crushed it. My color looks so natural and lived in and is exactly what I wanted. She was also warm, funny and very easy to talk with!
I have been bouncing around between stylists for the last few years and can say for certainty that I will be retuning to Sarah for all of my future hair appointments!
